Tribute To RCMP Veteran Vernon Bravener (#25564)

On December 16, 2015 VerneBravener passed away in Delta BC following a lengthy and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He joined the Force on March 16, 1967 and served his entire career in “E” Division. In September 1995, he received the Commanding Officer’s Commendation for his actions at the Gustafsen Lake standoff. On October 5, 2004, Verne retired from the Force and his last position was as the ERT Coordinator for “E” Division.

Regardless of the situation or delegated duty, Vern was there in the centre of the action leading the operation.
