Fraudulent Emails
Dear Association Members,
Treasurer Bob Rochon of New Brunswick Division now advises of a number of attempts to defraud via email messages.
The latest reads as follows,
Hello Claude,
Good morning. I want to know if you are available as I need you to make a payment to a vendor on behalf of the club. Let me know if you can handle this right away so as to send you the details to remit the payment.

You will notice that this one appears to come from the Division President, Jim Payne.
As we know this sort of activity is all-prevalent now and not confined to the Association. This is a reminder to be extremely cautious when dealing with messages that appear suspicious and if in doubt to delete them or confirm their authenticity with the author.
