10 Year Anniversary of the Deaths of Doug Coates and Mark Gallagher

 

In Memoriam

JANUARY 12, 2010

OTTAWA, ON – January 12, 2020 – Ten years after the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010, we pause to remember the two Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police serving in the United Nations Stabilization Mission who lost their lives in Port-au-Prince.

Chief Superintendent Douglas Edward Coates, Reg. No. 35051 (O.1875), is at eternal rest in the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Ottawa, Ontario.

Sergeant Mark Charles W. Gallagher, Reg. No. 46470, is at eternal rest in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe, New Brunswick.

We will remember them.
