Clarity on The Veterans’ ID Card

Dear Association Members,

This is further to our message yesterday (February 3, 2020) regarding the Veterans’ ID Card.

Dan McBride has very kindly offered some clarification for the benefit of our members on the nature of the card.

“I am not in a position to help with a Veterans Association ID Card. I currently manage the RCMP Record of Service Card, this card is available to all departed RM and CM’s regardless of years of service. It further assists in identifying one as a Veteran of Canada. For Public Servants, there is no Veterans Card but in the same breath they are not considered Veterans of Canada.

Dan has also asked that all queries on the Record of Service Card be sent directly to the following email address,

RCMP.RetiredID-IDRetraite.GRC@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Dan asks that members not forward enquiries through the Association.  They should be sent to the noted email address.

Again, this is not a membership card for the RCMP Veterans’ Association.  It is an RCMP record of service card.
