Vancouver Division Sponsored Dog ‘Winston’ Graduates as a Guide Dog

Some time ago, the RCMP Veterans’ Association – Vancouver Division received a suggestion that our Association provide financial support to the B.C. & Alberta Guide Dogs (BCGD). This proposal was approved by our Executive Committee. The Association has been sponsoring two puppies – Gideon and Winston. This past week, we have learned that Winston has graduated as a guide dog. BCGD breeds, raises and professionally trains Guide Dogs for blind/visually-impaired individuals, Autism Support Dogs for children aged 3-10 with profound autism and Service Dogs for both military and RCMP veterans affected by PTSD.
