Notice of Passing – Robert Knuckle, Author of Several Books on the RCMP

| Passed peacefully on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019. He was in his 85th year. Bob Knuckle was the author of several books on the RCMP including “In The Line of Duty; The Honour Roll of the RCMP Since 1873”(1994); Beyond Reason, The Murder of a Mountie (1997); In the Line of Duty, Volume II, From Fort MacLeod to Mayerthorpe (2005); A Master of Deception: Working Undercover for the RCMP (2006);The Mayerthorpe Story: From Ambush to Aftermath (2009), and a fictional children’s book, Molly of the Mounties, The Story of a Horse with Courage (2000) about a young foal born at the RCMP breed farm in Pakenham, Ontario. Bob was an honorary Life Member of the RCMP Senior NCO’s Mess (Ottawa HQ) and very proud of his long association with the Force. In addition to his significant chronicling of RCMP history, he was a prolific author, playwright, artist, orator and stage performer with an impressive body of work that is a significant part of his legacy. |
