A New Chairperson for the Finance and Audit Committee

Dear Members of the Association,

The Board of Directors is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Earl Basse to Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee.

In the capacity of Manager of the Finance and Audit Committee, Earl will replace Director Bob Byers who is now fully engaged in his duties as our Association Secretary. Earl will work closely with Association Treasurer, Don Belke.

Mr Basse’s mandate is,

To develop and implement a strategic plan to provide the Association with sound financial advice, guidance and accountability of the ongoing financial situation of the Association.
To maintain the appropriate financial controls and authorities for the Association (Board of Directors) and to conduct the required audit and reporting process, including the Annual Corporate Report.

Earl brings quite a tool belt to the job and we are very grateful that he has agreed to act in this capacity

Some of Earl’s qualities:

Earl is the President of Basse & Associates Inc., a professional forensic investigation and corporate security firm focusing on protecting its clients’ business environment by integrating ethics and integrity into security and operational programs.
Earl is accredited as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and has also received accreditation in Risk Assessment Methodology for Critical Infrastructures (RAM-CI). Earl is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (FCPA).
He brings to the table a wealth of experience in law enforcement, ethics investigations and business management and Earl’s utilization of his international network of professionals in the security and forensic industry is a value-added service provided to BAI’s clients.

We wish Earl every success in this new-found undertaking.
