Financial Health Lunch & Learn
The “H” Division Wellness Team and the RCMP Veterans Association – Nova Scotia Division hosted a lunch and learn on financial health. This two hour session, took place on August 11. The session was recorded and is available for a three month period. This session was free and open to all RCMP employees, veterans, and their families.
During the session accredited Financial Counsellors hosted the session about budgeting and the psychology of spending. These sessions are great for all individuals and a key step in becoming financially healthy and resilient.
President Glenn has observed that “the two sessions related to finances, were developed to assist those serving and retired members who will be receiving retroactive monies as a result of the recent RCMP pay increase. The retroactive period goes back to and includes the year 2017. We will have a number of Association members who will be impacted.
Having said that, the two sessions will be of interest to many others as well.
Note there is a long delay in getting things going in the video.”

This is a Microsoft Teams video and your system will probably ask you to download the free version of Teams in order to view the video. (Spoiler alert – our president appears in the video!)
