Megan Leverrier Fund
The Vancouver Division has contributed funds to support Megan Leverrier – daughter of Corporal Jaimie Leverrier of the Salmon Arm RCMP Detachment.
Megan is 4 years old and was recently diagnosed with a large tumour on her liver. She was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver where the family has been for the past two and a half weeks.
Another tumour, possibly cancerous, has been found within the large tumour, in addition to other medical complications., The type of tumour Megan has is very unusual and will require special treatment.
She will probably need a liver transplant and the family is expected to travel to Children’s Hospital in Toronto, where they may be required to stay for several months.
