Notice of Passing – Retired Veteran Life Member James S. Warren – #R1442

James (Jim) Warren passed away on October 5th, 2020 at the Palliative Care unit at the Tofield Health Centre with his son Jim Warren (RCMP Sgt. retired) at his side. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Tofield Health Centre for their kindness and professionalism during Jim’s stay with them.

Jim is survived by his son Jim (Marilyn) of Tofield, daughters Karen Chambers of Tofield and Susan Mitchell (David – RCMP Supt. retired) of Sherwood Park, Alberta.  Seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen in 1996.

Jim served in the RCMP Reserve in E Division from February 1955 until its disbandment in April 1966, at which time he entered the Auxiliary Cst. program working out of Coquitlam Detachment until the 1980’s.  Jim was a dedicated and founding member of the BC Hydro loss prevention unit dealing with theft of electricity by diversion.

Jim and Eileen spent their retirement travelling across Canada to visit their children in their various postings across Canada. The last seven years have been spent in  Sherwood Park and Tofield area. Jim was a proud life member of the RCMP Vets Association and had served as a Vancouver Division president.
