On Saturday (June 21, 2014), the Cloverdale Branch 6 of the Royal Canadian Legion had their open house to promote interest in the Legion.

The open house included 40-50 different operational and historical military vehicles for the public to view. Vehicles included:

  • Russian T-55 tank;
  • American M4A2E8 Sherman tank;
  • British F 432 armoured personnel carrier;
  • British Mark 2/3 Daimler Ferret scout car;
  • Canadian Field Artillery Tractor;
  • Two American World War II M-3 half tracks;
  • Two G-Wagons from the British Columbia Regiment; and
  • many other vehicles.

Between 400 and 500 individuals were in attendance which consisted of: families, Legion members, Royal Canadian Army Cadets, Canadian Militia members, Canadian Force Veterans and many RCMP Veterans.

The gather was a very positive event for the Cloverdale Legion and the weather could not have been any better.  Highlight for the open house was the Russian T-55 tank crushing three cars and one van.

We have included below some photographs of this event for the viewing pleasure of our RCMP Veterans.
