The Association Advocates Available to Our Members
Our Chief Advocate, Ruby Burns has compiled an updated list of our Association Advocates by Division for easy reference.
Our greatest appreciation goes out to the members who have assumed this role for their Divisions and it should be mentioned that we are certainly hearing about the great work our Advocates are doing for our members.
Our Association Advocates assist our members in obtaining services available to RCMP Veterans. In particular, if a RCMP member or Veteran has a disability caused by their service, they will be eligible to receive a tax-free pension or compensation and may be eligible for additional allowances, benefits and services in addition to the basic benefits and services.
If you have questions about what is available or how to begin an application our Advocates are there to help. If you wish to direct questions to the Chief Advocate please send them to her email: association.director2@rcmpva.org . Another excellent resource is Sgt. Kim Hendricken (email: Kim.hendricken@rcmp-grc.gc.ca), who is the liaison officer between the Force and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
