Sept. 4 – 10: Gone But Not Forgotten

When a RCMP Veteran passes away – their old colleagues pause for a moment to reflect on the good times they had and the memories they created.





Despite the times that deceased member was serving their communities and away from their families, the Veteran’s family members are extremely proud of the contributions made by the recently departed.

The following Veterans have passed away on the past few weeks:



#19163 – Retired Sergeant David Baxter McGINNIS passed away on August 29, 2017 at Bridgewater, NS.

Dave joined the Force on October 31, 1955 and served in both “H” and “HQ” Divisions until his retirement on December 30, 1979. – You can read his obituary here.




#17023 – Retired Staff Sergeant John ‘Jack’ A. HICKMAN passed away on September 5, 2017 at Kingston, Ontario.

Jack joined the Force on June 1, 1951 and served in “O” Division for his entire career.  Funeral service set for Tuesday September 12, 2017 at St. Francois D’Assise Roman Catholic Church 512 Frontenac Street Kingston, Ontario.  A reception will follow at Dragon’s Lair upstairs in the Brew Pub at 34 Clarence Street.





#15815 – Retired Chief Superintendent Veteran Donald Graham COBB passed away on August 19, 2017.

Don joined the Force on June 21, 1949 and served in “C” and “HQ” Divisions until his retirement on September 30, 1981. – You can read his obituary here.
