When a RCMP Veteran passes away – their old colleagues pause for a moment to reflect on the good times they had and the memories they created.

 

 

 

 

Despite the times that deceased member was serving their communities and away from their families, the Veteran’s family members are extremely proud of the contributions made by the recently departed.

The following individuals have passed away on the past few weeks:

#18352 – Retired Staff Sergeant Clifford John WELLBROCK passed away September 9th, 2016.

Cliff served in “E” and ‘HQ” during the years 1953 to 1978, retiring as a S/Sgt. Cliff joined the Vancouver Division of the Vets Association in 1992.  Service will be on September 17, 2016 at 1:30 – All Saints Anglican Church 333077 – 2nd Avenue Mission, B.C.

#35684 – Retired Corporal Philip A. McKERRY passed away on September 6, 2016 at Edmonton Alberta.

Phil joined the Force on January 21, 1980 and served his entire career in “K” Division until his retirement on July 22, 2014.  On May 10, 2004, he was awarded the Order of Merit. – You can read his obituary here.

#18274 – Retired Staff Sergeant James Edward STEENSON passed on July 2016.

Jim joined the Force on August 3, 1953 and served in both “K” and “E” Divisions until his retirement on April 16, 1979.A memorial service (his last pub night) will be held at the Cloverdale Legion, 17567 57th Ave in Surrey, on September 12th from 4-7pm. “That’s the way she goes.”  – You can read his obituary here
