July 24 – 29: Gone But Not Forgotten

When a RCMP Veteran passes away – their old colleagues pause for a moment to reflect on the good times they had and the memories they created.

 

 

 

 

Despite the times that deceased member was serving their communities and away from their families, the Veteran’s family members are extremely proud of the contributions made by the recently departed.

The following individuals have passed away on the past few weeks:

#34426 – Retired Constable John A. MILES passed away on July 13, 2016 at Hampton New Brunswick.

John joined the Force on January 5, 1978 and served in “H” Division until his retirement on January 5, 1998. – You can read his obituary here.

Civilian Member Glen A. CHILDS passed away on July 17, 2016 at Sherwood Park Alberta. – You can read his obituary here.

#20455 – Retired Sergeant Gary E. LYONS passed away at the age of 76 on the 2nd of July, 2016 at Strathmore, Alberta.

Gary joined the Force in April 1958 and served in “E”, “V”, “G”, “K” and “M” Divisions prior to his retirement on November 30, 1980.  – You can read his obituary here.
