2022 E Division Change of Command Ceremony

Greetings RCMP Veterans,

Please be advised ‘E’ Division’s Change of Command Ceremony will be taking place on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 to formally hand over command of the Division from Deputy Commissioner Jennifer Strachan to Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald.

We would be honoured to muster a Troop of RCMP Veterans to participate in the parade. The preliminary details are as follows:

–          Location: Langley Events Centre 7888 200 Street, Langley BC – Building B

–          Date: Tuesday September 20, 2022.

–          Times:

o   0800 – 1200 hours: Practice for the Parade and Ceremony

o   1200 – 1330 hours: Break for Lunch (Provided)

o   1300 hours: Muster for the Parade

o   1400 hours: Parade Steps off

o   15:30 hours: Approximate end time with reception to follow with appetizers and light refreshments.

Could I kindly ask that for this request to be fanned out to the RCMP Veterans to seek interest in participating in this Change of Command Parade? As an FYI, a Troop Commander has already been identified at the request of the outgoing CO; Sergeant Major Sebastien Lavoie (Ret’d) who was her SM.

I would ask that participant names are received by me no later than Wednesday August 27th, 2022. If any vets are unable to participate in the parade but would like to attend to watch please advise of those names and numbers as well.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out. Thank-you in advance and we look forward to seeing you there. Take care,

Nathan
